The Big Battery Rescue – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in The Big Battery Rescue school challenge program and the associated prize rewards, as outlined on www.bigbatteryrescue.com. By participating in the program and claiming any rewards, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Eligibility
1.1. The Big Battery Rescue program is open to Australian primary schools, teachers, and students participating in the initiative.
1.2. Participants must be located in Australia and meet all program requirements to be eligible for rewards.
1.3. Employees of program sponsors, their immediate families, and affiliated agencies are not eligible to claim rewards.
2. Program Participation
2.1. Schools must register via the official website www.bigbatteryrescue.com or directly via The National Theatre for Children to participate in the program.
2.2. Schools must complete the required battery collection and recycling activities as per program guidelines to be eligible for rewards.
2.3. Entries or submissions that are incomplete, fraudulent, or do not comply with the program’s rules may be disqualified.
3. Prize Rewards
3.1. Schools that meet the program’s criteria will be eligible for the following rewards, as outlined on the website:
- Prize Pool: Rewards include classroom grants, environmental sustainability awards, and other incentives.
- Award Criteria: Prizes are awarded based on battery collection milestones, engagement activities, and compliance with program requirements.
3.2. All rewards are subject to availability and may be substituted for an equivalent item or prize at the discretion of the program organisers.
3.3. Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash unless otherwise specified.
3.4. Schools will be notified of their prize via the contact details provided during registration.
4. Winner Selection & Notification
4.1. Winners will be determined based on their participation and performance in the program, as evaluated by the organisers.
4.2. Schools eligible for rewards will be contacted via email or phone within 120 days of the competition closing date.
4.3. If a school cannot be contacted within 14 days of notification, the prize may be forfeited.
5. Prize Delivery
5.1. Prizes will be awarded in the form of gift cards or direct cash transfers to the winning school’s designated bank account.
5.2. Schools must provide accurate and up-to-date banking details or contact information to ensure proper receipt of funds.
5.3. The organisers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or misdirected prizes once they have been processed and transferred.
6. Publicity & Use of School Name
6.1. By accepting a reward, schools grant the organisers the right to use their school name, logo, and images for promotional and marketing purposes.
6.2. Any media or promotional materials featuring schools will be used in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
7. Liability & Disclaimers
7.1. The organisers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the program or acceptance of rewards.
7.2. The organisers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the program or rewards due to unforeseen circumstances.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
8.1. Personal information collected during the program will be handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws and the program’s Privacy Policy.
8.2. Schools may request access to or deletion of their personal data by contacting the organisers.
9. General Conditions
9.1. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant found to be violating these Terms.
9.2. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.
