Children around Australia are saving the planet!

Did you know?

In Australia each year over 300 million household batteries are thrown away with ordinary waste. Less than 3% are recycled meaning a staggering 14,000 tonnes of batteries end up in landfill.1

1 Battery Use, Disposal and Recycling in Australia, Planet Ark Research Report

We want to help the environment by diverting as many batteries from landfill as possible!

How, you ask?

With The Big Battery Rescue!

All participating schools will receive FREE battery buckets and recycling kits for every classroom along with a large battery recycling bin for the central school administration area.
When the classroom buckets are filled up, your Student BATTERY AMBASSADORS will take charge and empty these into the large school battery bin.
Then (at least once per school semester) the batteries get collected by an accredited recycler who takes them away to be recycled.

We then report back to you the success of your school and students and the rate of diversion from landfill you have achieved!

All free of charge!

Participating schools will also be rewarded for their effort based on the amount of batteries recycled ranging from $100 – $2,000!

What are you waiting for?

Sign up your school, get your battery recycling kits, and start saving the environment!
